Jerad Sorgenfrei, CFA®

(Portfolio Manager/Investment Advisor Representative)

Jerad Sorgenfrei grew up on a farm in central Nebraska where he was fortunate to work along side his father on a daily basis – learning life long values such as personal ownership, responsibility and work ethic at a young age. He went on to attend the University of Nebraska, working his way through college as a journeyman plumber and observing practical business principles first hand. Jerad received his Bachelors of Science degree with a major in International Business.

Jerad began his career in financial services with Merrill Lynch before starting an independent brokerage firm affiliated with Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. While building and servicing a client base with TFA, Jerad began a rigorous self-study program to earn a CFA designation and to master the principles of Value investing as laid out by Benjamin Graham and further developed by Warren Buffett and many other value investors.

Jerad earned his CFA Charter in 2012. The CFA program is a rigorous self-study program requiring candidates to successfully complete 18 hours of testing over the course of 3 separate annual exams. He considers his simultaneous study of the CFA’s theoretical modeling the practical applications of Value investing to be very robust in navigating today’s complex financial markets.

Jerad enjoys developing personal connections with clients and being able to bridge the divide between their practical financial goals and the technical nature of executing strategies in meeting those goals. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and four children outdoors as well as reading and studying successful businesses.
